+===== NEW Minting Methods =====
+Qortal no longer utilizes 'sponsorship' in order to obtain minting rights on the network. A new system, 'mintership', is now utilized. A community-elected group of users from all over the world, now utilize group_approval transactions to 'vote in' a new minter, or to delegate minting rights to any account.
+In order to obtain rights:
+  * access the new 'Q-Mintership' Q-App - This app is where minting rights and the votes required to obtain them, are obtained by users.
+  * Access the 'MinterBoard' - The MinterBoard is the location for accounts to obtain minting rights.
+  * Publish a 'card' - A card with information about yourself, and links to things you have done, published to QDN, are added to the card.
+  * Obtain community and Minter Admin votes - Once you have obtained at least 40% of the Minter Admins' votes, actions will be displayed to the admins, allowing them to issue the GROUP_APPROVAL transaction required to invite your account to the MINTER group.
+  * Join the MINTER group - Once your card has been invited, come back to the MinterBoard, and your card will be labeled as such, and provide you with a 'JOIN GROUP' button. Click that button and await transaction confirmation.
+  * Create your Minting Key - There are multiple ways to do this, easiest of which being the 'Start Minting' button in one of the Qortal Interfaces.

+Qortal hub is the newest interface for Qortal, it is a desktop version of the new 'Qortal Trifecta' releases. Qortal Hub is available for **Linux (x86/64 and ARM), and Windows right now, and a Mac version will be coming soon**. (Until the Mac version is released, you may utilize the 'Qortal Extension' and a chromium based browser to experience a similar feel to Qortal Hub, with the same look/functionality on Mac.

+Qortal Go is an **android release** of the Qortal Trifecta series of interfaces, and can be obtained from the Qortal primary Github. HERE. Note - it is unlikely for the Qortal Go app to be released on the Google Play store, due to the ridiculous policies for apps there. It is also unlikely for there ever to be an iOS release of this app, as iOS and Apple fully lock down their devices, forcing developers to list them on their app store, and also forcing them into ridiculous agreements, especially having to do with apps that leverage encrypted data.

+The Qortal Extension is a **chromium-based browser-extension** version of the Qortal Trifecta series of interfaces. This extension allows installaion on any chromium-based browser (Chromium, Chrome, Brave, Opera, etc...) as well as potential for authentication and interactivity between Qortal and 'web 2' applications.
+=====NOTE about new interfaces=====
+**NONE of the new interfaces above require the use of a full node**, like the 'Qortal UI' (or what is being referred to as the 'legacy UI' does. However, utilizing a full node is possible and still the recommended method of accessing the Qortal Network. Not requiring the use of a full node, allows users to get started 'immediately' without having to install and run a node. This allows easier access to Qortal, and allows users with less proficient technical skills to utilize the network without having to run multiple setups, no matter how simple those setups may be.
+=====NOTE about Hosted-Access Methods for Hub/Go=====
+The hosted-access versions of Qortal Hub and Qortal Go are able to be accessed and utilized without installing anything. Regardless of how the apps are accessed, they run **locally**. Meaning, nothing is run 'server-side' for the applications, even if you access them via 'fully hosted' means.
+The primary difference between installing the app on your machine, and accessing the hosted-access versions, is that you have full control over the app if it is installed locally, just as you have full control over the node if you run the Qortal Core locally. Accessing the hosted versions relies upon the host to ensure they are accessible. Therefore it is always preferable to install the local versions if possible. However, due to the fact that a local version for iOS is not currently available, https://go.qortal.link is able to be utilized on iOS, and even able to be setup as a 'PWA' (Progressive Web Application) that looks and feels as though it is an 'installed app' on the device.
+To install the PWA version on iOS devices, access https://go.qortal.link via SAFARI browser (only safari browser allows PWA setup on iOS) then go to 'share' and 'Add to Home Screen'. Once you have accomplished this, the 'Qortal Go' PWA will be available on your phone. Installing the PWA on Android devices is easier, but there is also a native Android version of Go, so PWA version is only there for ease of use and use cases where users prefer the PWA as opposed to the native app.
+On Android, install the PWA by simply clicking the PWA button on the screen when it comes up upon access.

+The 'legacy UI' for Qortal. While still being developed as of March 2025, it is **planned to be no longer developed** as soon as possible, and while it may still be maintained to a certain degree, new features and functionality are not likely to be added to the legacy Qortal UI. **It is highly recommended for users to obtain one of the newer interfaces above, and start making use of them and getting used to them, as eventually the legacy UI will no longer be developed at all.** For now, however, it still is, and a recent release allows the VIEWING of encrypted messages sent by Hub/Go/Ext, but not yet the ability to SEND encrypted messages. Replies sent with this UI in Q-Chat, are not yet encrypted. The new group encryption functionality for Q-Chat WILL be getting added to the legacy UI in the near future, however, this is likely to be one of the last updates for this interface, as it is slowly phased out as the primary UI.
+Qortal Hub/Go/Ext all have new group-encryption for Q-Chat, and leverage many new communications features. They are much more responsive interfaces that allow access to Qortal without requiring the user run a node. There ARE a few features that do not yet exist in the new interfaces, and at the moment only dark mode exists for themes. But over time the missing functionality will be added, and the legacy UI will be moved to full legacy and no longer actively developed.

This change has dramatically changed the state of minting on Qortal, and changed the methods by which a new user will become a Qortal Minter. This is essentially a 'rebirth' of the project in many ways, and a purging of the old self-sponsors who were determined to cause the downfall of the project. Another win for Qortal, and loss for selfishness and greed. During this transition period this wiki will be INCORRECT in many ways, and as such it is highly suggested to join the community in one of the above-mentioned fashions, and ASK about the new methods and how to acquire minting status.
